Silvia Beas

As our Education Programs Coordinator, Silvia plays a key role in helping Ignited build and sustain strong relationships with teachers, schools, and districts, all while advancing our mission to provide every student with equal access to opportunities in advanced science and technology careers.

Silvia comes to Ignited with over a decade of experience in the field of education. As a first generation Xicana College graduate, Silvia’s dedication to social justice is evident in her work, which includes creating equitable access to opportunities for underserved populations. Silvia is skilled in strategic planning and collaboration, having successfully boosted program engagement and retention for organizations such as the City of South San Francisco and San Mateo Union High School District. Silvia is fluent in Spanish, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from San Francisco State University. 

In her free time, Silvia enjoys flower arranging, arts and crafts, and taking day trips with her family around the Bay Area.
