Clara Cushing

Clara Cushing develops Ignited’s partnership strategies, leads corporate and foundation outreach, and oversees Ignited’s grant strategy. She also manages the communications strategy to share Ignited’s compelling mission with potential supporters.

Clara’s experience spans various fundraising and communications positions in nonprofit organizations including the Monterey Bay Aquarium and the Phi Beta Kappa Society.  Her passion for supporting education and career pathways stems from her years editing student resumes at university writing centers and teaching high school English in the Czech Republic. She holds a MA in rhetoric and professional writing from San Diego State University and a BA in English and Classics from Santa Clara University. A lifelong learner, Clara loves to experience the world through travel, great food, and literature.
