Requirements
- Districts: eastern Riverside County (**full list below)
- Position: Middle and High School Teachers
- Location: in person eastern Riverside County locations
Through tours, job shadows, and other interactions with local water industry employees, learn about the journey of water from its origin to its reuse – including water stewardship, quality testing, environmental protection, engineering, and the well-paid careers available to today’s students. Develop a lesson to bring back to your school, and earn $1,100.
This Week will feature:
- Visiting wastewater and water treatment centers
- Industry professionals across fields
- Water operation and maintenance
- Water quality testing
- Environmental protection and regulation
- Desalination and filtration
- Indirect potable reuse of water
- Geology, engineering, and strategies for renewable resource
- Coordination and planning a field trip for your students!
This week is funded by Eastern Municipal Water District, and will feature tours and job shadows from our partners in the water and wastewater industry.
